About the work:

Inspired by the canon-powered stadium solos of Brian May, Cadence En Espace is a virtuosity tour-de-force for viola and piano evoking melodic journeys through warping spaces, suitable as recital showpiece with allusions to electric guitar sonorities. In seven abstract episodes, the sound emerges from "unidimentional" space in slow expansion, passing through "large closed" spaces, "open unstable" spaces, "curved" space-time, "pulverised" spaces, "compact" spaces, to return to unidimensionality at the end.
