Composed for the 125th anniversary exhibition “Escher – Andere Wereld” at the Kunstmuseum, Den Haag, part of “Metamorfosen: A Musical Journey into the World of MC Escher”
The canons were first arranged in homage to M.C.Escher, revealing their riddles and enigmas in conjunction with video projections. In this score they are collected as a suite of orchestrations expanding on the concise expressions of Bach’s genius.
